Early Land Transfer Agreement Delivered at Community Session

On Friday April 27th Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Mary Polak presented Chief Clint Williams with the official certificate to deliver three parcels of land to Tla’amin that had been negotiated with the BC Government during the course of treaty negotiations.

The English word Sliammon was not used very much on Oct. 21. Instead it was the original name – Tla’amin – that was on everyone’s lips, and on all the documents, as the final treaty agreement was initialed by the three governments.
